The event was conducted all at once on 15 January 2015, participated by more than 12000 students.

The test items directed students to think on a high level more than just memorising concepts (Higher Oder Thinking skills). Besides, the diagnostic test was intended to mapping students’ strengths and and weaknesses which can be a reflection for the schools. The subjects tested were Mathematics, Physic, Biology and Chemistry.

The implementation of the diagnostic test was directly supervised by director of SEAMEO Secretariat, director of SEAMOLEC, deputy director for programme of SEAQIS, head of Education Office of Pangkal Pinang, and vice mayor of Pangkal Pinang, through a video conference.

It is expected that the programme could develop learning community that utilises ICT, and expand networking among schools. This diagnostic test will also be conducted in schools in Southeast Asia.
