The conference was held from 6 to\u00a09 May 2015 with more than 200 participants from 22 countries attended, comprising education ministers, high-level government education officials, and representatives from international organizations \u2013 from the eleven SEAMEO Member States, Associate Members, Affiliate Members, Regional Centres and development partners.<br \/>\nThis summit of the education ministers and high-level education officials was aimed at fostering stronger cooperation on education among Southeast Asian countries and beyond. High on the agenda of the 48th SEAMEO Council Conference were discussions on ongoing activities of the post-2015 development and education agenda in Southeast Asia and the celebration of 50th Anniversary of SEAMEO.
