It is in accordance with the main purpose of SEAMEO that is to enhance the prosperity of a nation through the awareness of the education role importance. In Indonesia, there are 6 SEAMEO Centres that have been established that are Regional Centre for Tropical Biology (BIOTROP), Regional Centre for Food and Nutrition (RECFON), Regional Open Learning Centre (SEAMOLEC), Quality Improvement for Teachers and Education Personnel (QITEP) in Language, QITEP in Mathematics, and QITEP in Science.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">SEAQIS convened the 7<sup>th<\/sup> Governing Board Meeting from 21 to 23 September 2016 at Aryaduta Hotel, Bandung. It was attended by the Governing Board Member from SEAMEO member countries\u2014Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste, and Vietnam\u2014 as well as the delegation from SEAMEO Secretariat, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, and the delegations from other relevant institutions. The meeting was opened by the Director of SEAMEO QITEP in Science, Prof. Dr. Triyanta.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Not only became the accountability forum of SEAQIS\u2019 achievement for the past fiscal year, the Governing Board Meeting also discussed the financial and programme plans for the following year. In the meeting, the governing board members gave their opinions and evaluations about the performance of SEAQIS, advised on the problems also the recommendation to improve SEAQIS\u2019 performance and achievement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the last day, the meeting conducted discussion, acceptance, and approval of the result of meeting to the governing board members.
