SEAQIS Equips Teachers with Future-Ready Skills through Coding, AI, and STEM Integration Training

SEAQIS successfully conducted its Training on Integrating Coding and Artificial Intelligence (AI) into STEM Learning for primary and lower-secondary teachers. The programme was held in Bandung, Indonesia, with the first session conducted from 11 to 15 November 2025 at The Papandayan Hotel for 30 primary school teachers, followed by the second session from 18 to 22 November 2025 at Grand Mercure Bandung Hotel for 32 secondary school teachers. Both sessions were attended by enthusiastic educators who were eager to strengthen their capacity to meet the evolving demands of digital-era education.

The training was designed as a holistic learning experience that strengthened teachers’ foundational understanding of STEM education and computational thinking. Participants explored how coding builds logical reasoning, information processing, and systematic problem-solving. The programme also introduced a range of K–12 learning alternatives that encourage teachers to design innovative and future-oriented STEM, coding, and AI learning experiences.

After reinforcing key concepts, participants engaged in hands-on micro:bit activities, testing sensors, running simulations, and developing simple prototypes connected to real-world contexts. They also learned to integrate Coding and AI into learning through tools such as Teachable Machine and micro:bit’s machine learning features, gaining practical insight into how Coding and AI concepts can be applied in classrooms.

Each participant received two micro:bit kits from SEAQIS to support continued practice and classroom implementation in their schools. Through this initiative, SEAQIS strengthens its commitment to empowering teachers with relevant competencies and ensuring that every training experience is practical, inspiring, and aligned with the needs of 21st century learning.
