To fulfil the needs of the protocol officer in the Centre, SEAMEO QITEP in Science sent its staff, Mr. Zuhe Safitra, the Secretary to the Board, to attend the training on Protocol and MC conducted by SEAMEO BIOTROP from 26 to 28 November 2013. The training was attended by 15 officers from other SEAMEO Centres i.e. SEAMEO SEAMOLEC, SEAMEO RECFON, Private Company, Universities, and Senior Secondary School.
The first day of the training discussed how to be a good MC facilitated by Ms. S. Indrawati Azron, a senior MC from SEAMEO BIOTROP. She delivered material how to be a good MC and to assemble the script. The second day was a visit to the Bogor Palace. In the palace, Mr. Cecep Koswara, the senior staff of palace protocol, facilitated the participants and guided them during the tour in the palace. The third day of the training discussed the protocol for the Minister of Education and Culture, and ministerial guests reception. The facilitator for this session was Mr. Irwan Luswandi, the senior staff of Protocol for the Ministry of Education and Culture.
The training was closed by Dr. Jess Fernandez, the Deputy for Program of SEAMEO BIOTROP.
