On 21 – 30 August 2013, SEAMEO QITEP in Science organized the training of Environmental Education for Sustainable Development. It was officially opened by the Director of SEAMEO QITEP in Science, Prof. Dr. Ismunandar. This training was attended by 28 participants. They were teachers who teach environmental education from all over Indonesia and other SEAMEO member countries, such as Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, and Thailand. In this training, the participants learned about environmental education for sustainable development in ASEAN context and Indonesia, sustainable development and implementation, environmental ethic, climate change impact, ecosystem services and conservation, environmental education and facilitation method, zero waste lifestyle, environmental management comparative study, and the strategy on persuading public. The participants were actively involved in every activity during the training. They were also visiting Saung Angklung Udjo and Cigadung Compostry, Bandung, to see the the angklung performance and the production of home compost. At the end of the training, they performed cultural performance of their respective countries and regions.
