To finalise its second Five Year Development Plan (FYDP) and prepare for the impending fifth Governing Board Meeting (GBM), SEAMEO QITEP in Science conducted a workshop consisting of presentations by the Centre’s Governing Board Members Dr AbiSujak and Dr M. Q. WisnuAji, the Director of SEAMEO BIOTROP, Dr BambangPurwantara and Indonesian University of Education’s ProfBunyaminMaftuh. The workshop was held at Radiant Villas in Lembang from 22 – 25 April.
The FYDP encapsulates the Centre’s programs which reflect its niche of Inquiry Based Science Education. In addition to the FYDP’s finalisation, working papers to be submitted to the GBM were presented. On the penultimate day of the workshop, QITEP staff completed a full day of capacity building activities at Adventure Pro Outward Bound to strengthen team spirit, improve communication, and to boost positive thinking.
With the FYDP now ready for approval, the Centre can look forward to five years of innovative, engaging, exciting programs which will enrich the abilities of Southeast Asia’s science teachers and education personnel, and sustain QITEP’s vision of being the leading regional science education institution.
