2014 International Symposium on Culture, Arts, and Literature

SEAMEO QITEP in Science staff member Zuhe Safitra participated in the International Symposium on Culture, Arts and Literature 2014, which was conducted from 8 to 10 September 2014 in Nagoya, Japan. The symposium was jointly organised by the International Academy Institute, National Taipei University of Technology, and International Business Academic Consortium (iBAC) and attended by scholars from across the world. It provided a forum for renowned scholars and professors to meet and discuss cutting-edge research on culture, art, and literature.

At the symposium, Mr Safitra presented a paper titled A Study of Grice’s Cooperative Principle in the Process of Introduction (A Case Study on a Chat Script of QQ International). The paper investigated the most non-observed frequent maxim in the process of introduction in QQ international messenger. The study’s results are expected to contribute to English as a forgeign language teaching.
