The 38th SEAMEO High Officials Meeting was conducted from 30 November to 1 December 2015 at Dusit Thani Hotel, Bangkok. This meeting was attended by high-level officials or representatives from the Ministries of Education of SEAMEO Member Countries, Associate Members and Affiliate Members, Directors of the SEAMEO Secretariat and the Regional Centres, staff of the SEAMEO Units; and observers from partner organizations. SEAMEO QITEP in Science was represented by Prof Dr Triyanta, the Director and Dr Indarjani, the Deputy Director for Programme.
In the meeting, Dr Indarjani presented the result of Diagnostic Test which was conducted in Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Timor Leste, and Vietnam. The test is aimed to mapping student’s skill in Mathematics and Science and readiness for adopting 21st Century Skills.
The 10th ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Education (SOM-ED) was also convened back-to-back with the 38th SEAMEO HOM.
