SEAQIS in collaboration with Education, Youth and Sports Department of Tulungagung and Science Teacher Association of Tulungagung Regency held a Training on Enhancing Science Material Understanding Based on National Exam and Science Olympiade for Junior High School Teachers in Tulungagung Regency on 2-5 May 2018.
The opening of the training was held in junior high school of Jawaahirul Hikmah to coincide with the commemoration of National Education Day on May 2nd, 2018. The opening was done royally because of the appearance of marching band of junior high school students of Jahahirul Hikmah. The training was officially opened by Section Head of Curriculum of Secondary Education, Education, Youth and Sports Department of Tulungagung Regency.
Mr. Septian Karyana, M.Si., Mr. Heri Setiadi, M.Si., Ms. Lintang Ratri Prastika, M.Si., and Mrs. Lidiya Br Sinulingga, M.Si. from SEAQIS was assigned to be a facilitator in the training. The second day until the fifth, the training was held in Junior High School 1 Tulungagung and attended by 85 teachers majority have Biology and Physics education background. Participants are divided into two classes. In this training the participants get the discussion of Physics, Biology, and Chemistry materials based on the grid of National Examination and National Science Olympiad.
Through material in-depth training, teachers are expected to improve understanding of the concept of science that must be conveyed to the students, especially in preparing students to face the National Examination and National Science Olympiad.
