Seven SEAMEO Centres in Indonesia (SCI) attended the 3rd Inter-Centre Collaboration Meeting (ICCM) from 14 to 15 December 2023 in Semarang, Central Java. All the SEAQIS Board of Directors (BoD) along with some staff actively participated in this meeting, discussing four main points: human resources, output achievement and SCI’s budgeting, partnership, as well as the SCI’s recent condition.
Dr Misbah Fikrianto as the Deputy Director for Administration from SEAMEO QITEP in Language officially opened this meeting. On the first day, the meeting started with the human resources discussion in SCI, specifically non-civil servant human resources for 2024. Meanwhile, on the last day, several discussions were conducted: (1) the procedure to collaborate with international organisations delivered by Mr Anang Ristanto (Acting Head of Bureau of Cooperation and Public Relations from Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology); (2) potential collaboration with Department of Education in Papua Province; (3) SCI’s programme achievement and budgeting with Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology; as well as (4) planning for 2024 collaboration programme among all SCI.
In addition, Dr Indrawati as the Director of SEAQIS delivered her farewell speech as 2024 will be her retirement. All the BoD from seven SCI also directly delivered their impressions and messages towards Dr Indrawati during the time of getting to know her both professionally and personally.
To close this meeting, Dian-diaan Muniroh, PhD as the Acting Director of SEAMEO QITEP in Language concluded all discussions and stated that the next ICCM will be held in February 2024 with SEAQIS or SEAQIM as the host.
