SEAQIS in collaboration with Educators Professional Development Center in West of West Java Province organised Training on the Integration of Micro:bit in Science Learning for Primary and Lower Secondary School Teachers from 11 to 13 December 2025 in Bogor City. The training was attended by 60 primary and lower secondary school teachers from various schools across West Java.
The training was officially opened by the Head of the Academic Team, Directorate of Primary and Lower Secondary Teachers, represented by Dr Nita Isaeni, S.IP., M.Pd. In her opening remarks, she highlighted the importance of integrating technology, AI literacy, and robotics into science education to create innovative learning experiences that respond to the demands of 21st-century education.
During the programme, Mr Mo Qiraisy from VEX Robotics delivered a dedicated session on AI Literacy in the Classroom, providing participants with insights into the role of artificial intelligence in contemporary education. Meanwhile, the SEAQIS Academic Team facilitated sessions on the introduction to micro:bit and basic programming, equipping teachers with practical knowledge and skills to integrate micro:bit into science learning activities.
The training was conducted through hands-on practice and group-based activities, allowing participants to directly apply the use of micro:bit in learning scenarios. High levels of enthusiasm were evident, particularly during the practical micro:bit sessions, which became one of the most memorable highlights of the training.
With continuous support and mentoring from facilitators, participants gained valuable experience in the use of educational technology. Through this training, teachers are expected to be more confident in integrating AI and coding into science teaching and learning in their respective schools.
