As the first step of the Southeast Asia Climate Change Education Programme (SEA-CEP), the academic paper had been drafted on Wednesday, 23 February 2022. This activity was done through an online platform using Zoom meeting by SEA-CEP academic developer team consisting of 13 proficient teachers in climate change learning and SEAQIS Research and Development Team. Meanwhile, the finalisation workshop as the follow-up step of the previous activity was conducted on Wednesday to Friday, 9 to 11 March 2022. The speakers of this workshop were the experts in climate change education: (1) Prof Parikesit, Ph.D., from Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Padjadjaran University; (2) Dr Aulia Iskandarsyah, from Faculty of Psychology, Padjadjaran University; and (3) Dr Perdinan, from Department of Geophysics and Meteorology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, IPB University.
The academic paper itself is the core of SEA-CEP development related to EESD and CCE. The drafted paper contains the ideas and material to implement the SEA-CEP programmes. The paper is also expanded in an integrated manner by considering various fields of study which supports SEA-CEP goals achievement and the relevant policy. Therefore, the paper can be utilised to provide the academic justification on the plans and roadmap of EESD and CCE implementation based on the criteria developed by SEAQIS, with several indicators derived from international and national agreements regarding the sustainable development education.
