From 3 to 5 December 2014 Lili Indarti and Gena Aghnia Fadhilah representing SEAMEO QITEP in Science met with SEAMEO QITEP in Science‘s Training Courses alumni in Pontianak. The program was called the Monitoring and Evaluation of SEAMEO QITEP in Science‘s Training Courses.It took place at SMAN 6 Pontianak, JalanTani – Tanjungraya II, Kecamatan Pontianak Timur, Kotamadya Pontianak.
The program aimed to obtain information about the effectiveness of the training courses conducted by the Centre as well as the inputs for the improvement of the incoming training program. The Monitoring and Evaluation Program found out how effective the training courses were, and how they changed and improved the competence of teachers during the teaching and learning processes in the classroom.
In line with the program, the team visited the Local Education Office (Dinas Pendidikan Kota Pontianak) to inform the Monitoring and Evaluation Program conducted with the local teachers, and to introduce the centre’s programs, and propose future cooperation to conduct training courses to improve the competence of teachers in Pontianak and West Kalimantan in general.
