As a preparation for the sixth Governing Board (GB) Meeting that will be held in October 2015, the Centre conducted a workshop on working paper writing. The workshop was conducted in PPPPTK IPA from 3 – 6 March 2015. It was aimed at writing the working papers that will be submitted in the sixth GB meeting. The workshop was attended by the managements and staff members of the Centre.
During the workshop there were five resource person invited to give materials of various topics including Partnership towards the ASEAN Community 2015 presented by Dr Sediono, Director of PPPPTK IPA; Challenges and Opportunities in Developing Science Teachers and Education Personnel presented by Prof. Ismunandar, the Education and Culture Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore who is also Centre’s former director; Working Paper Writing Techniques presented by Prof. Bunyamin Maftuh of UPI; SEAMEO Centres’ Programme Synchronisation presented by Dr Paristiyanti, Acting Director of SEAMEO SEAMOLEC, and Programme Implementation and Budgeting of Indonesian SEAMEO Centres presented by Dr M.Q. Wisnu Aji, Head of General Bureau of MoEC Indonesia.
At the end of the workshop, participants were successfully writing twelve working papers covering the working paper on matters for acknowledgement, follow up action, proposed three-year budget, financial report FY 2014/2015, annual report, proposed programme FY 2016/2017, progress report on Ki Hajar Dewantara Award, Report on 50th SEAMEO Anniversary, Progress Report on SEAMEO QITEP in Science Research Grant, Implementation of Inquiry Based Science Education Resources, Progress of Centre Capacity Building for Inquiry-Based Science Education (IBSE), and the Next Venue and Time of 7th GBM.
The working papers are expected to be able to convince the GB members about the achievement of the Centre in running its programmes and activities, as well as the incoming programmes proposed by the Centre.
