SEAMEO QITEP in Science involved in Primary Connections Collaboration with Asia Workshop, in Sydney

Primary Connection Program is innovative science education program which lingking the teaching of science with teaching literacy in Australian primary schools. The implementation of this method will give opportunity the students to develop their talents and also to enhance their natural couricity more efective. To disseminate this program, Australian Academic of Science in Canberra, conducted an Asia colaboration workshop in Sydney, Australia from 25-27 Zmarch 2013. The workshop was atended by 17 participants from 12 Asean countries and 1 country from Pacific (Fiji) together with 20 Australian teachers has received strong support from Australian Government and also Global Inter Academy Planel Science Education Program (IAP-SEP). The SEAMEO QITEP in Science was represented by Deputy Director, Dr. R. Indarjani . She valued this workshop as a chance to learn the application of IBSE concept and phylosphy on primary level include the model, strategy and also the outcome. During this workshop , there was also simulation activity how this program could implement in their own science education system. Another benefit by attending this workshop was that this activity could foster collaboration between Asia Pacific Region countries in the area of science education through networking that has been established during the program.
