The official feast day of the National Teacher in Indonesia (25th November) were held on 4th December 2012 at Sentul International Convention Centre with the year theme, *Memacu Profesionalisasi Guru Melalui Peningkatan Kompetensi dan Penegakan Kode Etik* (Stimulating Teachers Professionalism Through Competence Enhancement and Ethics Enforcement). The event was attended by the President and Vice President of Republic of Indonesia,the Minister of Education and Culture, the Minister of Religion, the Governor of West Java, the Head of PB PGRI, about 9000 teachers from all over Indonesia, and personnel of some Institutions and Education Centres. SEAMEO Regional Centre for QITEP in Science as the centre took part in the event by promoting i’ts function as the centre of excellence with the expertise on improving science teachers and education personnel in Southeast Asian region. The event was so perpect to socialize programmes, such as annual trainings (Earth and Space Science Training, Environmental Education Training, Science CLassroom Supervision Training, Science Laboratory management Training, ICT-Based Science Learning Training, Research and Development Training), International Conference, workshops, seminars, and other customized training, by distributing published newsletters, displaying posters and facilitating any questions of curiousity from visitors in the exhibition stand. Mr. Apep Nurjaman and Mr. Moch. Firman Sudjana were the centre representatives in the event. By this event, it is much expected that the centre will be more widely known by education personnels, especially in Indonesia. Therefore, it will be more and more teachers and education personnel who will be well informed and be able to participate in the centre*s programmes.
