The Director of SEAMEO QITEP in Science Attended the Southeast Asian Regional Standards for Science Teachers (SEARS-ST) Workshop

Prof. Ismunandar, the Director SEAMEO QITEP in Science attended workshop on the Southeast Asian Regional Standards for Science Teachers (SEARS-ST). The workshop aimed to develop a framework and standards to support and improve the quality of teachers which are important to enhance the standard of science education in general. Teachers and their development of teaching must be at the heart of any plan to improve educational systems. The goal of the Southeast Asia Regional Standards for Science Teachers (SEARS-ST) is to document a set of standards describing the qualities, skills and attribute that science teachers in the SEAMEO region should attain in the 21st century.  The formulation of SEARS-ST is an effort towards improvement in science education in Southeast Asia.
