On Thursday March 27 2014, Mr Paulino Henrique Riberio, attaché of Education of Timor-Leste for Thailand, and Mr Agostinho Almeida Femandes, Attaché of Education of Timor-Leste for Indonesia,visited SEAMEO QITEP in Science. It was an introductory visit prior to the visit of Timor-Leste Vice Minister of Education which will take place in May. The purpose of their visit was to discuss future collaboration and partnership between QITEP in Science and Timor-Leste. Timor-Leste joined the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) in March 2006, shortly before the 41st SEAMEO Council Conference in Singapore, at which the Ministry of Education and Culture of Timor-Leste confirmed its Government’s approval of the country’s participation in the Organization’s programmes and activities.
