Science Across the World (SAW) is an international education flagship program founded in 1990 by the Association for Science Education. The main objective of this program is to provide a forum for students, aged 12 to 17 years, to exchange facts and opinions with other young people around the world through a unique series of resource topics on environmental and social science issues. Since the inception of SAW, SEAMEO RECSAM has been the program coordinator for the Asia Pacific region, playing a major role in promoting the teaching and learning of science via ICT integration.
SEAMEO RECSAM conducted a SAW workshop from 19 to 20 June 2014. The agenda was to rewrite the first, second and third SAW books. The workshop was attended by outstanding science teachers in Penang, lecturers from universities and the participants of the Southeast Asia Regional Standards for Science Teachers workshop. The drafts of the revised books will be edited and uploaded during the next workshop which will be conducted from 1 to 3 October 2014 (tentative dates).
