A Short Course on SEAMEO Financial Operations Manual is the continuation of the Training Course on Financial Operations Manual which was conducted at SEAMEO QITEP Mathematics, Yogyakarta, from 1 to 14 June 2014. This short course was held at SEAMEO Secretariat office, Bangkok, Thailand from 8 to 12 December 2014 attended by representatives from SEAMEO Centres in Indonesia except SEAMEO SEAMOLEC. SEAMEO QITEP in Science was represented by Mrs Lidiya Sinulingga, Mr Gumyar Gustiana Gumilar, Mr Hamriana, and Mr Rizwan Darmawan.
Key speakers of the course which was coordinated by Mr Rawude Sukmongkol, the finance manager of SEAMEO Secretariat, provided clear explanation about SEAMEO financial system. The participants had an opportunity to share their problems in managing financial system applying SEAMEO Financial Operations Manual and directly learn the financial system implemented in SEAMEO Secretariat.
The course was intended to give the participants more comprehension about financial and accounting system which has been designed appropriately with management of finance of SEAMEO. By comprehending this system, six SEAMEO Centres in Indonesia are expected to be able to effectively and efficiently manage the centres’ budgetary system, financial management, and financial report which could help the Centres to improve its ability in conducting several activities in financial perspective.
