As a Government Institution with focus on the development of Inquiry-Based Science Education programme, SEAMEO QITEP in Science (SEAQIS) conducted an inquiry training in Ponorogo Regency. The title was Training on Developing Inquiry-Based Teaching Materials for Elementary and Junior High School Teachers in Ponorogo District. The training was implemented by SEAQIS in cooperation with Ponorogo District Education Office and Headmaster Association. It was attended by 45 participants consisting of 9 Elementary School Principals, 1 Principal of Junior High School, 29 Primary School Teachers, and 6 Junior High School Teachers. Mrs Dra Tati Setiawati, M M Pd, Ms Lintang Rati Prastika, S Pd, M Si, and Mr Lukman Nulhakim, M Pd was assigned as resource person from SEAQIS in the training.
The training was held for three days, from Monday-Wednesday, 19 to 21 February 2018 at Junior High School 5 Ponorogo District. It was opened officially by the Head of Education Unit Ponorogo District. The training began with the presentation of inquiry-based learning followed by inquiry learning modelling. On the second day, all of the participants conducted science experiment as the basis for the development of inquiry-based Student Worksheet. On the third day, the participants arranged Student Worksheet inquiry-based. The training went well and the enthusiasm of the participants was very high while participating in this training. The training was closed by the Chairman of Headmaster Association Ponorogo District on Wednesday, February 21st, 2018 followed by giving certificates to all participants.
