In commemorating its 10th anniversary, the International Science, Technology, and Innovation Centre for South-South Cooperation Under the Auspices of UNESCO (ISTIC) held an international seminar entitled International Conference on Climate Change Education on 7-8 May 2018 in Corus Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Three people from SEAQIS (Mrs. Dr. R. Indarjani, Mr. Haidar Helmi, S.P. and Ms. Lintang Ratri Prastika, M.Si.) had the opportunity to attend the conference. At the opening of the seminar, Dr. R Indarjani expressed his congratulations and gave souvenir to the Chairman of the Governing Board of ISTIC, Dato’ Dr. Samsudin Tugiman FASc., for the achievements gained for 10 years.
The seminar was attended by 116 participants from various countries, including: Algeria, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Gambia, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Senegal, Singapore, Thailand, Tunisia, Nigeria and Malaysia, and from various expertise, lecturers, teachers, education ministries, and other institutions related to climate change education. In the seminar was presented various materials by various experts in the field of science education and climate change that will provide insight and awareness of the importance of climate change education in an effort to achieve the 13th SDGs by all countries in the world.
