SEAMEO QITEP in Science (SEAQIS) succeeded in organising an Online Training on Earth and Space Science which took place from 12 to 16 June 2023 and was conducted through Zoom Cloud Meetings. The event attracted 80 science teachers from Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, and the Philippines. The primary objective of the training was to equip science teachers with the latest knowledge and teaching methodologies in the field of Earth and Space Science.
The training featured presentations from esteemed resource persons which come from Southwest University China, Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia University of Education, National Research and Innovation Agency, and METAEDU Taiwan who delivered engaging presentations, enriching the participants’ knowledge and expertise.
The highlights of the training were the presentation of country reports and school activities related to Earth and Space Science. Participants were encouraged to maintain a journal throughout the training and were tasked with developing lesson plans and projecting action plans.
In recognition of their outstanding commitment, a total of 35 participants successfully fulfilled the requirements and were awarded e-certificates for their active participation and dedication throughout the training program. The online training on Earth and Space Science organised by SEAMEO QITEP in Science was a resounding success.
