SEAMEO Regional Centre for QITEP in Science (SEAQIS) conducted the Training on Junior High School Science Teachers’ Comptences Improvement in Aceh Jaya Regency. This training, held in coorperation between the Education Office of Aceh Jaya Regency and SEAQIS, was organised from 21 to 25 August 2017 in Calang, Aceh Jaya Regency. The training was also conducted simultaneously with the training courses of SEAMEO QITEP in Language and SEAMEO QITEP in Mathematics. The opening ceremony was held in the auditorium of the Education Office of Aceh Jaya and attended by the Head of Elementary Education Division, Teuku Jabbar SPd, and the Director of SEAQIS, Prof Triyanta, representing three SEAMEO QITEP Centres and all participants.
In general, the goal of the training participated by 69 science teachers from junior high school was to implement Curricullum 2013. The experts of this training delivering the sessions came from SEAQIS that were Prof Triyanta, Ms Lili Indarti MHum, Mr Heri Setiadi MSi and Mr Septian Karyana MSi. In the last session, the participants were asked to make action plan and learning material video. That tasks would then be calculated and reported to the Education Office of Aceh Jaya Regency.
