Workshop on Integrated ICT Learning Development

SEAMEO SEAMOLEC organised the Workshop on Integrated ICT Learning Development from April 27th to April 29th 2016. This event was held at the Hotel Aston Primera Pasteur. Participants who joined the activities are  representatives from each center; SEAMEO BIOTROP, SEAMEO QITEP in Language, SEAMEO QITEP in Mathematics, and SEAMEO QITEP in Science. Representatives sent from SEAMEO QITEP in Science were Mr. Heri Setiadi and Mr. Dian Purnama for Physics content and Mr. Septian Karyana and Ms. Amallia Yuliana for Chemistry content.

Technology-based learning is held in various patterns, which basically rely on the use of information technology and communication through audio/video, TV, and learning to use the computer and internet media. Learning management via computer media and or internet packed in a web-based learning, so that students will learn the material as needed to access it online. It means that learning can be done anywhere, anytime and by anyone, so the acceleration and expansion of access in order to obtain equal opportunity of education can be fulfilled.

The purpose of this activity was to develop a training strategy for teachers of primary school, secondary school, and vocational school to increase capacity and skills of teachers/educators in using communications and information technology.

The results of these activities were TORs which will be implemented to plan training activities development of ICT based learning.
