SEAQIS Webinar Series: Utilizing Digital Application in Online Science Learning

SEAQIS continued its webinar series by presenting its alumni as speakers. The webinar was entitled Utilizing Digital Application in Online Science Learning, conducted on 25 May 2021. The speakers of the webinar were Mr Eri Teguh Kurniawan from SMPN 1 Ciasem and Ms Elizabeth Tjahjadarmawan from SMA Xaverius 1 Jambi. The event was moderated by Mr Dian Purnama, the programme officer of SEAQIS.

Dr Indrawati, the director of SEAQIS, opened the webinar officially. In her remarks, she stressed out that in the 21st-century curriculum, the digital application is a vital tool to support the teaching-learning process. Moreover, during this pandemic period, online learning is commonly employed, making digital application more critical.

The first speaker was Mr Eri T. Kurniawan. He discussed the digital application that he built for online distance learning. He used Google App Script to create the web-based application. There are various features in the application, including online quizzes, online confide, Sigap (Disaster Alert), and practicum report.

The second speaker was Ms Elizabeth Tjahjadarmawan. She is the alumna of the Training Course on Environmental for Sustainable Development in 2016. She shared her best practices using online digital learning, mostly in STEM Learning using the Project-Based Learning approach.
