Bandung Education Office collaborated with SEAMEO QITEP In Science (SEAQIS) in conducting technical guidance activity for implementing Kurikulum Merdeka. 60 elementary school teachers from Sekolah Penggerak in Bandung became the target of this activity in order to guide them in planning Kurikulum Merdeka implementation focusing on Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) and Learning Assessment.
The technical guidance was held from 6 to 8 September 2022 at the main hall of Balai Besar Guru Penggerak (BBGP) West Java, attended by the Head of Primary School Development, Mr Bambang Ariyanto along with the Director of SEAQIS, Dr Indrawati. Meanwhile, Mr H. Hikmat Ginanjar, the Head of Bandung Education Office, attended the closing ceremony.
The participants enthusiastically joined the session because they were directly guided in designing P5 as well as STEM in Science learning based on Kurikulum Merdeka. Moreover, they also created some simple experiments on engineering design process, which were a paper airplane and a hologram animation.
Hopefully, this training can be beneficial for students after their teachers implemented the materials and help teachers to continually create innovations in their respective schools. This was in line with the Head of Bandung Education Office’s statement that P5 was our responsibility in forming students who were able to continually innovate based on the spirit of diversity (kebinekaan).
