The implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka is still a priority programme of the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (MOECRT). Kurikulum Merdeka promotes freedom for schools to manage the learning process as well as reinforces students’ character building through P5 (Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila). Furthermore, MOECRT hopes that this curriculum will have been implemented at all school levels in Indonesia by 2024.
Therefore, based on this urgency, Bogor Regency Education Office in collaboration with SEAQIS held the training on Kurikulum Merdeka implementation for middle school principals and vice principals in Bogor Regency. In this training, the participants were given socialisation and a technical assistance in composing the curriculum as well as on how to implement them. The curriculum document consists of the learning objectives from Learning Outcomes, Learning Design, P5 Modules, and the school’s operational curriculum.
The training was attended by 250 participants who were divided into two phases. 125 participants joined the phase one from 28 to 30 November 2022, while the rest of them followed the phase two from 1 to 3 December 2022 at New Ayuda Hotel, Puncak, Bogor. The SEAQIS team served as facilitators in this training.
