STEM Competition held by SEAQIS in collaboration with PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) began its first round on 15 November until 6 December with the School Competition submitting their portfolio. Within the first selection, on 2 December 2024, SEAQIS conducted the STEM Competition through online mode for students. Three levels of schools joined SEAQIS in Zoom meeting to begin the selection round.
The STEM Challenge for students aligned with the President Prabowo Subianto’s statement that the focus on STEM learning will produce children who master technology, master cyber and master artificial intelligence. Through this competition, students participated in Eco-Powered Car (Elementary), Strongest Bridge (Secondary), and Strongest Seismic Building (High Schoolers). Schools sent two students to compete, accompanied by their teacher during the competition.
The top five will soon join for the final round at the Zuri Hotel, Pekanbaru, Riau on 23 and 24 December 2024. These teams will present their project in front of judges from SEAQIS and PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan. This event offers an opportunity to not only showcase their talents but also to grow, connect, and be inspired through the exciting world of STEM learning.
