From 12 to 15 November 2024, elementary, middle, and high school principals participated in an important online training programme organised by SEAQIS and the Ardhya Garini Foundation. This special three-day digital workshop focused on helping school leaders improve their skills and adapt to modern educational challenges.
The training came at a critical time when schools needed to prepare students for the 21st century. Principals learned about new educational challenges, such as helping students develop creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. This training aimed to show principals how to become better leaders and make their schools more exciting places to learn. They also learned about new teaching methods and how to work with teachers to help students grow.
During the workshop, principals explored several key topics, including understanding the new school leadership competency model, learning about student-centered leadership, and mastering management analysis techniques. They also learned how to create four-year medium-term and one-year short-term schoolwork plans. A significant focus was placed on developing learning communities and using data to improve student learning outcomes.
Principals also created important documents such as school development programmes, plans for building learning communities, and follow-up action plans. This hands-on approach ensured that the knowledge gained could be directly applied in their schools.
This training was more than just a workshop—it was an opportunity for school leaders to learn, grow, and help their students become better learners. By working together, SEAQIS and Ardhya Garini Foundation aim to make schools better and help students learn in new and exciting ways.
